ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
Each gram contains
Sodium Sulfamethazine …… 667 mg
Sodium Sulfathiazole ……… 333 mg
INDICATIONS:
CATTLE: For the treatment of bacterial infections
(pneumonia, metritis, enteritis, foot rot, or
septicemia accompanying acute mastitis) and
as an aid in the treatment of shipping fever
complex.
SWINE: For the treatment of enteritis and
respiratory diseases caused by bacteria
susceptible to sulfamethazine and
sulfathiazole.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
_To reduce the development of antimicrobial _
_resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this _
_antibiotic prudently. _
For use in automatic medicators: dissolve 400
grams of SULFA 2 Soluble Powder in 8 litres
of water. Add this to each 260 litres of water
the first day, and to each 355 litres for the next
three days.
For individual treatment of cattle: dissolve 400
grams in 2 litres of water and administer 1 mL
of this solution per kg bodyweight as a drench.
Reduce the dose to ½ mL per kg bodyweight
for the next three days.
If animals do not respond within 4 days,
discontinue use and re-evaluate the diagnosis.
WARNINGS:
Milk taken from treated animals during
treatment and within 96 hours after the latest
treatment with the drug must not be used in
food. Treated animals must not be slaughtered
for use in food for at least 10 days after the
latest treatment with this drug. This product
must not be added to swine feeds.
Sulfonamides can cause allergic reactions in
sensitized individuals. When handling the
product, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and
