WHAT GABAPENTIN ASPEN IS USED FOR _WHAT GABAPENTIN _ _ASPEN DOES _ Gabapentin Aspen is used to control epilepsy in stabilised patients. Epilepsy is a condition where you have repeated seizures (fits). There are many different types of seizures, ranging from mild to severe. Gabapentin Aspen is also used to treat neuropathic pain, a type of pain caused by damage to the nerves. The molecular structure of gabapentin is: DESCRIPTION Gabapentin is a white to off white crystalline solid. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. INACTIVE: Starch-maize, copovidone, poloxamer, ethanol, hydroxypropylcellulose, magnesium stearate and talc-purified. PHARMACOLOGY PHARMACODYNAMICS The mechanism by which gabapentin exerts its anticonvulsant action is unknown.
