BACK ACTIVE INGREDIENTS Chlorhexidine (as digluconate) 3% w/v INDICATIONS Douxo Chlorhexidine Microemulsion 3% is a topical antiseptic spray indicated as an aid in the treatment of superficial skin conditions that are responsive to chlorhexidine and is indicated for dogs and cats. This product is intended to be used adjunctively in protocols for the management of skin conditions under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. DIRECTIONS FOR USE For topical use in dogs and cats only Apply 1 spray per 5 kg (10 lbs); the number of sprays can be doubled for long-haired dogs. Brush the pet against the natural fur line, and spray Douxo Chlorhexidine Microemulsion 3% just by holding the pump 30 cm (12 inches) from the pet’s body, so as to spread out the emulsion all over the targeted area. Douxo Chlorhexidine Microemulsion 3% will disperse naturally; do not over apply. May be used once or twice a week or as directed by your veterinarian for the specific disorder being treated. CONTRA-INDICATIONS Dogs and cats which are hypersensitive to any component of this formulation should not be treated with this product. CAUTIONS For external use only. Should not be swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and consult your veterinarian. Animals should be monitored to prevent licking of the treated area.
