Aids in the reduction of clinical mastitis and subclinical mastitis in the subsequent lactation. Each single dose 3g syringe contains 250mg cephalonium dehydrate in a long- acting base. Coopers Cepravin Dry Cow is a long-acting intramammary cerate containing cephalonium, a semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic. It is formulated to give effective antibiotic levels in the non-lactating udder. Coopers Cepravin Dry Cow is recommended for dry cow therapy to treat existing sub-clinical infections and to prevent new infections which occur during the dry period. Cepravin Dry Cow aids in the reduction of clinical mastitis and subclinical mastitis in the subsequent lactation. Infusion at drying off should be part of a mastitis control program on the advice of your veterinary surgeon and will reduce the risk of mastitis that may occur at calving. Cephalonium is a broad spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic which has bactericidal activity against the majority of organisms associated with bovine mastitis.
