EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine selectively acts on "megakaryocyte", a cell producing
platelets, to decrease
platelets count.
It is usually used to treat essential thrombocythemia.
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
MEDICINE.BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR
AND PHARMACIST.
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch,
rash, etc.) to any medicines
or foods.
If you have liver dysfunction.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may
interact to enhance or
diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and
dietary supplements
as well as other prescription medicines.)

・In general, for adults, start taking 1 capsule (0.5 mg of
anagrelide) at a time, twice a day.
The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms, but will be
increased by 1 capsule
(0.5 mg) per day, with an interval of at least one week, not exceeding
4 divided doses a day.
However, the maximum single dose is 2.5 mg and maximum daily dose is
20 capsules (10
