WAT IS XATRAL RETARD EN WAARVOOR WORDT DIT MIDDEL GEBRUIKT?
Xatral Retard is een geneesmiddel van het type


-blokkers voor de urinewegen.
Het is aangewezen bij de behandeling van symptomen van goedaardige
hypertrofie
(ongewone groei) van de prostaat.

U bent allergisch voor een van de stoffen in dit geneesmiddel. Deze

Als u een voorgeschiedenis van orthostatische hypotensie (plotse
bloeddrukdaling die
optreedt bij plotseling rechtstaan uit een zittende of liggende
positie) heeft of heeft
gehad.


RESUME DES CARACTERISTIQUES DU PRODUIT
1. DENOMINATION DU MEDICAMENT
Xatral Retard 5 mg comprimés à libération prolongée
2. COMPOSITION QUALITATIVE ET QUANTITATIVE
La substance active est l’alfuzosine. Chaque comprimé contient 5 mg
de chlorhydrate
d’alfuzosine.
Excipients : chaque comprimé contient 19,6 mg d’huile de ricin
hydrogénée

3. FORME PHARMACEUTIQUE
Comprimé à libération prolongée, rond, jaune
4. DONNEES CLINIQUES
4.1. INDICATIONS THÉRAPEUTIQUES
Traitement des manifestations fonctionnelles de l'hypertrophie
bénigne prostatique.
4.2. POSOLOGIE ET MODE D’ADMINISTRATION
Posologie
1 comprimé Xatral Retard 5 mg le matin et le soir (soit 10 mg par
jour).
_Personnes âgées / insuffisance rénale_
Chez le sujet âgé, hypertendu traité ou insuffisant rénal, il est
recommandé de débuter
le traitement par 1 comprimé de Xatral Retard 5 mg le soir, à
augmenter ensuite à 1
comprimé 2 fois par jour (le matin et le soir), en fonction de la
réponse clinique.
_Population pédiatrique _
L’efficacité de Xatral n’a pas été établie chez les enfants
âgés de 2 à 16 ans (voir
rubrique 5.1). Xatral est contre-indiqué dans la population
pédiatrique.
Mode d’administration
Le comprimé doit être avalé sans être croqué.
Commencer le traitement le soir au coucher.
