Holes are to
be
drilled
in
the area requiring
treatment to allow insertion
of
the
Th1PEL
ROD.
After the rod
is
inserted, the hole
is
sealed with a tamper-proof plastic plug or similar item.
Treatment zones are nonnally
adjacent to the End Grain
of
the timber or at points where the moisture content
of
the
timber
is
conducive
to
fungal attack,
ie
>20%.
Volume
of
zone to
be
treated needs to
be
calculated to ensure the correct amount ofiMPEL
is
used.
Refer application rates
above.
If
necessary holes can be partly filled with Boracol 400RH prior
to
the Rod
being inserted.
This will allow immediate diffusion to take place.
Inspection
of
the
timber
is
recommended on
