USED FOR
Counterpain Patch Hot
is used for
muscular and joint pain associated
with lumbago, bruise, sprain, stiff
shoulder, arthralgia, aching muscle,
muscle
fatigue,
chilblains,
bone-
fracture pains.
HOW COUNTERPAIN PATCH HOT
WORKS
Counterpain Patch Hot
contains
the
active
ingredients
Glycol
Salicylate
2.0%
w/w,
l-Menthol
1.0%
w/w,
4-Hydroxy-3-
methoxybenzyl
Nonylic
Acide
Amide
0.013%
w/w
and
Tocopherol
Acetate
(Vitamin
E)
0.8% w/w.
GLYCOL
SALICYLATE
is
a
salicylic
acid
derivate
used
similarly
to
methyl
salicylate
in
topical
rubefacient
preparations
for
the
relief of
muscular and rheumatic
pain.
L-MENTHOL is an organic compound
that occurs naturally in mint plants,
but
it
can
also
be
made
synthetically.
When applied to the
skin
menthol
dilates
the
blood
vessels,
causing
a
sensation
of
coldness followed by an analgesic
effect.
