CO-
TRIMOXAZOLE TABLET IS USED FOR
Pharmaniaga
Co-Trimoxazole
Tablet
can
be
used
to
treat
or
prevent:
Lung
infections
such
as
acute
pneumonia (inflammation of lungs)
and
acute
otitis
media
(inflammation of the ear)
Bladder or urinary tract infections
such as urethritis (inflammation of
the urethra)
Skin and soft tissue infection such
as septicaemia (blood poisoning)
Other
bacterial
infections
e.g.
mycetoma

PHARMANIAGA
CO-
TRIMOXAZOLE TABLET WORKS
Pharmaniaga
Co-Trimoxazole
Tablet are made up of two different
medicines called sulfamethoxazole
and trimethoprim. These medicines
are sometimes given the combined
name co- trimoxazole. Both belong
to a group antibiotics. They are
used to treat infections caused by
bacteria.
BEFORE YOU USE PHARMANIAGA CO-
TRIMOXAZOLE TABLET _ _
_-When you must not use it_
Do
not
take
Pharmaniaga
Co-
Trimoxazole Tablet if:
•
you are allergic (hypersensitive)
to
sulfamethoxazole,
trimethoprim or co-trimoxazole
or any of the other ingredients of
Pharmaniaga
Co-
Trimoxazole
Tablet.
•
you
have
acute
porphyria
(a
genetic metabolic disorder).
•
you have G6PD deficiency.
•
you are going to deliver or a
nursing mother.
•
it is for your child and they are
less than 2 months of birth.
•
you are not sure if any of the
above
applies
to
you,
talk
to
your doctor or pharmacist before
taking Co-Trimoxazole Tablet.
