WHAT OROTHYMOL IS USED FOR
As
a
mouthwash
or
gargle
for
oral
hygiene and to soothe sore throat.
HOW OROTHYMOL WORKS
Thymol is an antiseptic with antibacterial
and antifungal activity.
BEFORE YOU USE OROTHYMOL
_-When you must not use it _
It
should
not
be
used
in
individuals
known
to
be
hypersensitive
to
the
ingredients.

_-Before you start to use it_
Do not swallow. Avoid use in patients
with large mouth ulcer.
_Pregnancy and lactation_
No adverse problems have been reported.
As with all medicines, it should only be
used
under
medical
supervision
in
pregnant women or nursing mothers.

_-Using other medicines _
Inform your doctor or pharmacist before
using this medicines, including any that
you get without a prescription from your
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
Some medicines and OroThymol may
interfere with each other. They may be
affected by OroThymol or may affect
how well it works.
HOW TO USE OROTHYMOL
_-How much to use _
Always use OroThymol exactly as your
doctor has prescribed. You should check
with
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
if
in
doubt.
_The usual dose:_
Adult:
Dilute by adding one part of the solution
with three parts of warm water before
use. It can be used 3-4 times daily.
Do not swallow.
Discard any unused diluted solution.
Children under 12 years of age:
Consult a dentist or doctor.

OROTHYMOL GARGLE 0.15% W/V
Each tablet contains:
Thymol ………………………….. 0.15% w/v
Preservative:
Sodium Benzoate ………………… 0.1% w/v
Potassium Sorbate ………………... 0.2% w/v
Glycerine as solvent ……………….. 10% v/v
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Red colour, clear liquid with Eucalyptus flavour.
INDICATIONS
As a mouthwash or gargle for oral hygiene and to soothe sore throat.
RECOMMENDED DOSE
ADULT:
Dilute by adding one part of the solution with three parts of warm
water before use.
It can be used 3-4 times daily.
Do not swallow.
Discard any unused diluted solution
CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OF AGE:
Consult a dentist or doctor.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS
The product is to be used after dilution of one part with three parts
of warm water; all unused
diluted solution should be discarded due to the possible contamination
with resistant micro-
organisms.
It should not be swallowed.
Avoid use in patients with large mouth ulcer.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER MEDICAMENTS
None known.
PREGNANCY & LACTATION
No adverse problems have been reported. As with all medicines, it
should only be used under
medical supervision in pregnant women or nursing mothers.
SIDE EFFECTS
It can be irritant to the gastric mucosa; rashes may occur. Its
prolonged use should be avoided.
SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE
The product is not intended for ingestion, but, in the case of
ingestion (accidental or otherwise)
resulting in overdosage, treatment measures include gastric lavage
with intensive symptomatic
supportive therapy.
STORAGE CONDITION
Store below 30ºC. Protect from light.
