What Dysolvon Tablet 8mg is used for
Administered in inflammation of the
airway and other respiratory conditions
to aid removal of phlegm or mucus.
How Dysolvon Tablet 8mg works
Bromhexine Hydrochloride has been
reported to change the structure of
airway secretions, increase the volume,
reduced viscosity and aid to remove the
phlegm or mucus.

You are hypersensitive to Bromhexine
or other components of the product.

Before you start to use it
Pregnancy and lactation
Precautions regarding medication use
during pregnancy should be practiced.
Bromhexine should be avoided during
lactation.
Ask your doctor or pharmacists for
advice before taking Dysolvon Tablet
8mg.

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor if you are taking
antibiotics (Amoxycillin, Cefuroxime,
Erythromycin or Doxycycline) and any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
How to use Dysolvon Tablet 8mg

How much to use
Adults: 2 tablets, 3 to 4 times daily
Children below 5 years: ½ tablet twice
daily.
Children 5 to 10 years: 1 tablet twice
daily.

EACH TABLET CONTAINS:
Bromhexine Hydrochloride .......................... 8 mg
PHARMACODYNAMICS:
Bromhexine Hydrochloride has been reported to change the structure of
bronchial secretions and to increase the volume
and reduce the viscosity of sputum. It is administered in bronchitis
and other respiratory conditions as an aid to
expectoration, with variable.
PHARMACOKINETICS:
Bromhexine Hydrochloride is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract
and peak plasma concentrations have occurred after
1 hour. Most of a dose is excreted in the urine mainly as metabolites;
only a small amount is excreted in the faeces.
Ambroxol is a metabolite of Bromhexine.
INDICATIONS:
Administered in bronchitis and other respiratory conditions to aid
expectoration.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:
Adults: 2 tablets, 3 to 4 times daily.
Children below 5 years: ½ tablet twice daily.
Children 5 to 10 years: 1 tablet twice daily.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
FOR ORAL USE ONLY
CONTRAINDICATION:
Bromhexine should not be used in patients known to be hypersensitive
to Bromhexine or other components of the product
PRECAUTIONS/WARNINGS:
Bromhexine should be given cautiously to patient with gastric
ulceration.
Very rare cases of chronically associated severe skin impairments such
as Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal
Necrolysis (TEN), Erythema Multiforme (EM) and Acute Generalized
Exanthematous Pustulosis (AGEP) have been reported.
In most cases, these could be explained by the severity of the
underlying disease or concomitant administration of another
drug. In the early stages of such severe skin reactions, initially
only nonspecific flu-like symptoms appear, e.g. fever,
arthralgia, runny nose, cough, and sore throat. If skin or mucous
membrane damage occurs, seek medical advice
immediately and discontinue treatment as a precaution.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Administration of Bromhexine together with antibiotics (Amoxicillin,
