The Duet External Drainage & Monitoring System reduces CSF through drainage from the ventricles or lumbar subarachnoid space into the collection bag, which reduces fluid volume & intracranial pressure. The main components of the system are a patient collection line, stopcocks, drip chamber, rotating pressure scale incorporating Hg & cm H2O measurements, latex free needless injection site, removable drainage bag & two options for mounting the system at the bedside. This device is MR Conditional. The Duet External Drainage and Monitoring System is indicated for monitoring intracranial pressure and for externally draining of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the lateral ventricles or lumbar subarachnoid space in patients to reduce intracranial pressure (ICP), monitor CSF chemistry, cytology, and physiology; provide temporary CSF drainage in patients with infected CSF shunts.
