DRONTAL® ALLWORMER FOR DOGS
Tablets for the control of Roundworm (Ascarids), Hookworm, Whipworm,
Tapeworm (including Hydatid and _Taenia ovis_ tapeworms) and for the
control
of the shedding of cysts of the protozoan _Giardia spp. _in dogs
Each tablet contains 150 mg febantel, 144 mg pyrantel embonate and 50
mg
praziquantel

WARNING- Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child. May
cause
damage to organs through prolonged or from repeated oral exposure.
HANDLING- Do not handle unless all safety precautions are understood.
Do
not generate or inhale dust. Wash hands thoroughly after handling and
before
eating.
FIRST AID- If exposed if concerned: Get medical advice/attention. For
advice
contact the National Poison Centre: 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or a
doctor
TREATMENT PROGRAMMES FOR WORMS
ROUNDWORM: _Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina_
HOOKWORM: _Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala_
WHIPWORM: _Trichuris vulpis_
TAPEWORM: _Taenia_ spp., _Echinococcus granulosus_, _Dipylidium
caninum _
PUPPIES: Puppies should be treated every 2 weeks from the age of two
to
twelve weeks, then monthly until 6 months of age.
ADULT DOGS: (above 6 months of age) should be dewormed every 3 months.
Dogs heavily infested with roundworms, hookworms or whipworms may
require retreatment after 14 days. Where tapeworm control only is
required,
for example where flea tapeworm segments keep reappearing 2-3 weeks
after
treatment due to reinfestation, or where _Taenia ovis_ control is
required, use
DRONCIT® between DRONTAL treatments.
TREATMENT PROGRAMMES FOR GIARDIA
GIARDIA INFESTATION: Treat for three consecutive days at recommended
dose.
