General Instructions:
Only controls Damping-off diseases caused by Pythium and Phytophthora
and provides
control of Stem Rot caused by Phytophthora for 3 to 4 weeks after
emergence. AVA
Metalaxyl-M 350 Seed Dressing will not control Damping-off caused by
Rhizoctonia,
Fusarium or other fungi.
Application
Treatment in Small Lots by the Farmer
May be applied by shaking with seed in a tin, enclosed drum or plastic
bag.
1. Premix AVA Metalaxyl-M 350 Seed Dressing with water to a total
volume of not less than
5 mL nor more than 10 mL per kg of seed when AVA Metalaxyl-M 350 Seed
Dressing is
applied alone. If additional Seed Dressings are applied in combination
with AVA Metalaxyl-
M 350 Seed Dressing a higher total application volume may be required
to ensure even
coverage of seed.
2. Apply solution to seed and vigorously mix for 1 to 2 minutes.
Treatment of Large Seed Lots by Commercial Seed Dressing Equipment
For large-scale seed dressing, the product should be applied diluted
with water in
specialised seed dressing equipment. As for all such seed dressings, a
good flow and
metering system for the initial prepared solution is important.
