WHAT _ASMIN EXPT _IS USED FOR
For the relief of productive and wheezing
cough associated with bronchial asthma,
bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema and other
obstructive pulmonary diseases.
HOW _ASMIN EXPT _WORKS
Salbutamol is a direct acting
sympathomimetic amine. It acts selectively
on beta-2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs
to relax bronchial smooth muscle, thereby
relieving bronchospasm and reducing airway
resistance. Guaiphenesin has an expectorant
action which reduces the viscosity of
tenacious sputum, thereby facilitates the
removal of mucus.
BEFORE YOU USE _ASMIN EXPT _

Do not take
_Asmin Expt_
if you are allergic
to salbutamol sulphate.
_- Before you start to use it _
Tell your doctor before you start:
- if you have heart problems.
- if you have hypertension.
- if you have diabetes mellitus.
- if you have overactive thyroid gland that
increase appetite, weight loss or sweating.
- if you have tumour of the adrenal gland.
_- Taking other medicines _
Co-administration of glucocorticoid
adrenocorticoids may increase the
metabolic clearance of adrenocorticoids:
glucocorticoid dosage adjustment may be
required. Adrenergic bronchodilators may
result in mutual inhibition of therapeutic
effects. Concurrent therapy with digitalis
glucosides may increase the risk of
irregular heartbeat.
Concomitant administration of xanthines
may increase CNS stimulation and other
addictive toxic effects
HOW TO USE _ASMIN EXPT _
_- How much to use _
Adult : Oral, 2 – 4 teaspoonfuls two to
three times daily, or as directed by the
