Kytril 1mg film-coated tablet
2 QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION
Each tablet contains l.0mg granisetron (as hydrochloride).
Excipients: Contains lactose monohydrate

3 PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Film-coated tablet.

4 CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1 THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Kytril Tablets are indicated for the prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with cytostatic
therapy.
4.2 POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
_ADULTS_
One tablet (1mg) twice a day for up to one week following cytostatic therapy.
The first dose of Kytril should be administered within one hour before the start of cytostatic therapy.
_CHILDREN_
There are insufficient data to allow dosage recommendations.
_ELDERLY_
No special requirements apply to elderly patients.
_PATIENTS WITH RENAL OR HEPATIC IMPAIRMENT_
No special requirements apply to patients with renal impairment.
Caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic impairment (see section _4.4 Special warnings and precautions for_
_use _and section _5.2 Pharmacokinetic properties_).
4.3 CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to granisetron or related substances.
Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.

4.4 SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
As Kytril may reduce lower bowel motility, patients with signs of sub-acute intestinal obstruction should be monitored
following administration of Kytril.
