DESCRIPTION
Xatral (alfuzosin hydrochloride) is an
orally active quinazoline derivative.
Alfuzosin hydrochloride is a white to
off white crystalline powder. It is freely soluble
in water.

The 2.5mg immediate release tablets are white, round and
film-coated and each tablet contains
2.5mg of alfuzosin
hydrochloride as the active ingredient and lactose, microcrystalline cellulose,
povidone, sodium starch glycollate,
magnesium stearate as excipients; Coating: hypromellose,
macrogol 400 and titanium dioxide.
The
5.0mg extended release tablets are a pale-yellow colour, round and film-coated and each
tablet contains 5.0mg of alfuzosin
hydrochloride as the active ingredient with microcrystalline
