WHAT MELOMET CREAM IS USED FOR
Melomet
Cream
is
used
for
relief
of
inflammatory and itching manifestations of
corticosteroid-responsive skin disorders.
HOW MELOMET CREAM WORKS
Mometasone
furoate,
a
synthetic
corticosteroid,
exhibits
marked
anti-
inflammatory,
anti-itchiness
and
blood
vessel narrowing properties. It control the
production
of
potent
mediators
of
inflammation.
BEFORE YOU USE MELOMET CREAM
_-When you must not use it _
Do
not
use
if
you
have
known
hypersensitivity to any of the components.

HOW TO USE MELOMET CREAM
_-How much to use _
Adults (including elderly) and Children :
Apply a thin film to the affected skin areas.
_-When to use it _
Apply once daily. Melomet Cream may be
used in children 2 years of age or older.
_-How long to use it _
Apply until the lesion heals or for duration of
3 weeks whichever is sooner or refer to doctor
or pharmacist.
_-If you forget to use it _
If you miss a dose of Melomet Cream, take it
as soon as possible. If it is approaching time
for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go
back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not
double doses.
_-If you use it too much (overdose)_
Excessive,
prolonged
use
of
topical
corticosteroids can suppress adrenal gland
function resulting in secondary hormone
insufficiency.
WHILE YOU ARE USING MELOMET CREAM
_-Things you must do _
If irritation or sensitization develops with
the
use
of
Melomet
Cream,
treatment
should
be
withdrawn
and
appropriate
therapy instituted.
