WHAT FENYLEFRIN ABCUR IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
This medicine belongs to a class of medicines called adrenergic and
dopaminergic agents. Fenylefrin Abcur
is used to treat low blood pressure that can occur during different
types of anaesthesia.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARE GIVEN FENYLEFRIN ABCUR
YOU SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN THIS MEDICINE
-
if you are allergic to phenylephrine or any of the other ingredients
of this medicine (listed in section
6).
-
if you suffer from hypertension (elevated blood pressure)
-
if you suffer from peripheral vascular failure (bad blood circulation)
-
if you suffer from hyperthyroidism (high levels of thyroid hormone)
-
if you are taking medicines causing narrowing of the blood vessels
(ephedrine, pseudoephedrine,
methylphenidate)
-
if you take a non-selective monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAO) or
within 2 weeks of their withdrawal
for treatment of depression (iproniazide, nialamide)
-
if you are taking medicines given by mouth and by the nose causing
narrowing of the blood vessels
(etilefrine, midodrie, naphtazoline, oxymetazoline, synephrine,
tetryzoline, tuaminoheptane,
tymazoline)
- if the anterior part (anterior chamber) of your eye is shallow
- if you have a history of acut

KVALITATIV OCH KVANTITATIV SAMMANSÄTTNING
En ml injektionsvätska innehåller fenylefrinhydroklorid motsvarande
0,05 mg fenylefrin.
1 ampull à 10 ml innehåller fenylefrinhydroklorid motsvarande 0,5 mg
fenylefrin.
En ml injektionsvätska innehåller fenylefrinhydroklorid motsvarande
0,1 mg fenylefrin.
1 ampull à 5 ml innehåller fenylefrinhydroklorid motsvarande 0,5 mg
fenylefrin.
1 ampull à 10 ml innehåller fenylefrinhydroklorid motsvarande 1,0 mg
fenylefrin.
1 ampull à 20 ml innehåller fenylefrinhydroklorid motsvarande 2,0 mg
fenylefrin.

TERAPEUTISKA INDIKATIONER
Behandling av hypotension vid generell anestesi.

DOSERING OCH ADMINISTRERINGSSÄTT
Dosering
_Vuxna_
_Intravenös bolusinjektion:_
Vanlig dos är 50 mikrogram, som kan upprepas tills önskad effekt
uppnås. Vid allvarlig hypotension
kan doserna ökas, utan att överstiga 100 mikrogram i en bolusdos.
_Kontinuerlig intravenös infusion:_
Initial dos är 25 till 50 mikrogram/min. Doserna kan ökas eller
minskas för att bibehålla det systoliska
blodtrycket nära normalvärdet. Doser mellan 25 och 100 mikrogram/min
har bedömts vara effektiva.

_Nedsatt njurfunktion:_
Lägre doser fenylefrin kan behövas hos patienter med nedsatt
njurfunktion.
_Nedsatt leverfunktion:_
Högre doser fenylefrin kan behövas hos patienter med l
