BEETLES
Adult

grass

September

Eggs

laid in
October

hatch
to tiny
grubs
which feed on grass roots from
November
to January.
Grubs
then bury
deeply
in
the soil, and change to beetles during February.
The
newly
hatched beetles
feed on
grass
roots until April or May,
when
they bury
deeply
into the soil and
become
dormant
during winter.
The
cycle starts again in September.
