Em particular, informe o seu médico ou farmacêutico se estiver a tomar algum dos seguintes medicamentos: • apomorfina (usada no tratamento da doença de Parkinson), devido à comu- nicação de casos de tensão arterial bai- xa e desmaios • carbamazepina ou fenitoína, medica- mentos utilizados para a epilepsia • rifampicina, utilizada no tratamento de infeções como a tuberculose (TB) • medicamentos que possam afetar o co- ração, tais como medicamentos para tratamento do cancro (especialmente antraciclinas e trastuzumab) ou medi- camentos que possam causar o prolon- gamento do intervalo QT _(ou seja, um _ _atraso na distribuição de impulsos no _ _músculo cardíaco, visível no ECG, que _ _representa um risco potencialmente fa-_ _tal de perturbações do ritmo cardíaco)_ • tramadol, um analgésico • ISRS (inibidores seletivos da recaptação da serotonina) utilizados no tratamento da depressão e/ou ansiedade, incluindo fluoxetina, paroxetina, sertralina, flu- voxamina, citalopram e escitalopram • IRSN (inibidores da recaptação da sero - tonina e noradrenalina) utilizados no tratamento da depressão e/ou ansieda- de, incluindo venlafaxina e duloxetina. Informe o seu médico ou farmacêuti- co se estiver a tomar algum destes me- dicamentos. Gravidez e amamentação Se está grávida ou a amamentar, se pensa estar grávida ou planeia engravidar, con- sulte o seu médico ou farmacêutico antes de tomar este medicamento. Não há dados adequados sobre o uso du- rante a gravidez. Por conseguinte, a uti- lização na gravidez não é recomendada. Os estudos experimentais em animais não indicaram efeitos prejudiciais para o feto. No entanto, o medicamento deve apenas ser utilizado após efetuar uma avaliação cuidada dos riscos e benefí- cios, especialmente no primeiro trimes- tre de gravidez. On.setron-Denk 4 mg ODT não deve ser utilizado durante o aleitamento. SUMMARY OF PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS 1. NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT On.setron-Denk 4 mg ODT On.setron-Denk 8 mg ODT 2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION Active substance: Ondansetron _On.setron-Denk 4 mg ODT_ Each orodispersible tablet contains 4 mg ondansetron. Excipients with known effect: Each On.setron-Denk 4 mg orodispersible tablet contains aspartame and sorbitol. _On.setron-Denk 8 mg ODT_ Each orodispersible tablet contains 8 mg ondansetron. Excipients with known effect: Each On.setron-Denk 8 mg orodispersible tablet contains aspartame and sorbitol. For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1. 3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Orodispersible tablets _On.setron-Denk 4 mg ODT:_ White, round, flat tablets with bevelled edges and a diameter of 7 mm. _On.setron-Denk 8 mg ODT:_ White, round, flat tablets with bevelled edges and a diameter of 10 mm. 4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS 4.1 THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS Adults _On.setron-Denk 4 mg ODT:_ - Treatment of nausea and vomiting in therapy with cytotoxic agents and radiation therapy. _On.setron-Denk 8 mg ODT:_ - Treatment of nausea and vomiting in therapy with cytotoxic agents and radiation therapy. - Prevention of nausea and vomiting after surgery. Children and adolescents - Ondansetron is indicated in the treatment of nausea and vomiting in therapy with cytotoxic agents - No studies have been conducted on the use of orally administered ondansetron in the prevention and therapy of nausea and vomiting after surgery. Administration by IV injection is recommended for this purpose. 4.2 POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION Posology NAUSEA AND VOMITING INDUCED BY CYTOTOXIC AGENTS AND RADIATION The emetogenic potential of cancer treatment varies according to the doses and combinations of chemotherapy and radiotherapy regimens used.
