1. Was ist Racecadotril Double-E Pharma und wofür wird es angewendet?

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma ist ein Arzneimittel zur Behandlung von Durchfall.

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma wird zur symptomatischen Behandlung akuter Durchfallerkrankungen

bei Erwachsenen angewendet, wenn eine ursächliche Behandlung nicht möglich ist.

Racecadotril kann auch zusätzlich zu einer ursächlichen Behandlung eingenommen werden.

2. Was sollten Sie vor der Einnahme von Racecadotril Double-E Pharma beachten?

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma darf nicht eingenommen werden,

wenn Sie allergisch gegen Racecadotril oder einen der in Abschnitt 6. genannten sonstigen

Bestandteile dieses Arzneimittels sind.

Warnhinweise und Vorsichtsmaßnahmen

Bitte sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, bevor Sie Racecadotril Double-E Pharma

einnehmen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, wenn:

Sie an blutigem oder eitrigem Durchfall leiden oder zusätzlich Fieber haben. Die Ursache des

Durchfalls könnte eine bakterielle Infektion sein, die von Ihrem Arzt behandelt werden muss.

Sie chronischen Durchfall haben oder der Durchfall durch eine Antibiotika-Behandlung

verursacht wurde.

Ihre Nieren- oder Leberfunktion eingeschränkt ist.

Sie an länger anhaltendem oder unkontrollierbarem Erbrechen leiden.

Einnahme von Racecadotril Double-E Pharma zusammen mit anderen Arzneimitteln

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel anwenden oder kürzlich andere Arzneimittel

angewendet haben, auch wenn es sich um nicht verschreibungspflichtige Arzneimittel handelt.

Schwangerschaft, Stillzeit und Zeugungs-/Gebärfähigkeit

Die Anwendung von Racecadotril Double-E Pharma wird nicht empfohlen, wenn Sie schwanger sind

oder vermuten, schwanger zu sein oder stillen.

Fragen Sie vor der Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker um Rat.

Verkehrstüchtigkeit und Fähigkeit zum Bedienen von Maschinen

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma hat wenig oder keinen Einfluss auf die Verkehrstüchtigkeit und die

Fähigkeit zum Bedienen von Maschinen.

Wichtige Informationen über bestimmte sonstige Bestandteile von Racecadotril Double-E

Pharma

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma enthält Laktose (eine Zuckerart). Wenn Ihr Arzt Ihnen gesagt hat, dass

Sie bestimmte Zuckerarten nicht vertragen, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, bevor Sie Racecadotril

Double-E Pharma nehmen.

3. Wie ist Racecadotril Double-E Pharma einzunehmen?

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma liegt in Form von Kapseln zum Einnehmen vor.

Nehmen Sie dieses Arzneimittel immer genau nach Absprache mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker ein.

Fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker nach, wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind.

Die empfohlene Dosis beträgt 1 Kapsel dreimal täglich. Die Kapsel ist mit einem Glas Wasser zu

schlucken.

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma sollte vorzugsweise vor den Hauptmahlzeiten eingenommen werden;

Sie können die Behandlung jedoch zu jeder Tageszeit mit einer Kapsel Racecadotril Double-E Pharma

beginnen.

Ihr Arzt wird Ihnen sagen, wie lange Sie Racecadotril Double-E Pharma einnehmen müssen. Die

Einnahme sollte bis zum Auftreten von 2 normalen Stuhlgängen fortgesetzt werden, jedoch maximal 7

Tage.

Um den Flüssigkeitsverlust auszugleichen, der durch Ihren Durchfall verursacht wird, sollte dieses

Arzneimittel zusammen mit einem angemessenen Flüssigkeits- und Salzausgleich (Elektrolyte)

eingenommen werden. Am besten wird dieser Flüssigkeits- und Salzausgleich durch eine sogenannte

orale Rehydratationslösung erzielt (bitte fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie sich nicht

ganz sicher sind).

Für ältere Patienten ist keine Dosisanpassung erforderlich.

Kinder

Für Kinder und Säuglinge wird Racecadotril in anderen Darreichungsformen angeboten.

Wenn Sie eine größere Menge von Racecadotril Double-E Pharma eingenommen haben, als Sie

sollten

Bitte wenden Sie sich unverzüglich an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker.

Wenn Sie eine größere Menge von X haben angewendet, kontaktieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt, Ihren

Wenn Sie die Einnahme von Racecadotril Double-E Pharma vergessen haben

Nehmen Sie nicht die doppelte Menge ein, wenn Sie die vorherige Einnahme vergessen haben.

Machen Sie einfach mit der nächsten Dosis weiter.

4. Welche Nebenwirkungen sind möglich?

Wie alle Arzneimittel kann Racecadotril Double-E Pharma Nebenwirkungen haben, die aber nicht bei

jedem auftreten müssen.

Die häufigsten Nebenwirkungen sind Kopfschmerzen (betrifft 1 bis 10 Behandelte von 100).

Folgende Nebenwirkungen wurden gelegentlich gemeldet (betrifft 1 bis 10 Behandelte von 1.000):

Hautausschlag und Hautrötung (Erythem).

Weitere Nebenwirkungen mit unbekannter Häufigkeit (Häufigkeit auf Grundlage der verfügbaren

Daten nicht abschätzbar) sind: rosafarbene Läsionen an Armen, Beinen und im Mund (Erythema

multiforme), Entzündung von Zunge, Gesicht, Lippen und Augenlidern, Entzündung von

Unterhautzellgewebe an verschiedenen Körperstellen (Angioödem), Nesselsucht, Entzündung des

Unterhautfettgewebes mit Knötchenbildung (Erythema nodosum), Hautausschlag mit kleinen harten,

knotigen Läsionen (papulärer Ausschlag), juckende Hautläsionen (Prurigo), generalisierter Juckreiz

(Pruritus), toxischer Hautausschlag.

Sie sollten die Anwendung von Racecadotril Double-E Pharma abbrechen und unverzüglich einen Arzt

aufsuchen, wenn Symptome eines Angioödems auftreten, wie:

Schwellung von Gesicht, Zunge oder Rachen

Schluckbeschwerden

Nesselsucht und Atembeschwerden

Meldung von Nebenwirkungen

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker. Dies gilt auch

5. Wie ist Racecadotril Double-E Pharma aufzubewahren?

Bewahren Sie dieses Arzneimittel für Kinder unzugänglich auf.

Sie dürfen das Arzneimittel nach dem auf dem Umkarton nach „Verwendbar bis:“ angegebenen

Verfalldatum nicht mehr verwenden.

Das Verfalldatum bezieht sich auf den letzten Tag des angegebenen Monats.

Entsorgen Sie Arzneimittel nicht im Abwasser oder Haushaltsabfall. Fragen Sie Ihren Apotheker, wie

das Arzneimittel zu entsorgen ist, wenn Sie es nicht mehr verwenden. Sie tragen damit zum Schutz der

Umwelt bei.

Für dieses Arzneimittel sind keine besondere Lagerungsbedingungen erforderlich.

Was Racecadotril Double-E Pharma enthält

Der Wirkstoff ist Racecadotril. Jede Kapsel enthält 100 mg Racecadotril.

Die sonstigen Bestandteile sind Laktosemonohydrat, vorverkleisterte Stärke, Magnesiumstearat und

hochdisperses Siliciumdioxid. Die Kapsel enthält Gelatine, Eisenoxidhydrat (E 172) und Titandioxid

(E171).

Wie Racecadotril Double-E Pharma aussieht und Inhalt der Packung

Racecadotril Double-E Pharma ist eine gelbe, opake Hartkapsel aus Gelatine.

Jeder Packung enthält 10 bzw. 20 Hartkapseln.

Es werden möglicherweise nicht alle Packungsgrößen in den Verkehr gebracht.

Ranier’s Rx Laboratory Issues Voluntary Recall of All Sterile Compounded Products Within Expiry Due to Lack of Sterility Concerns

Ranier’s Rx Laboratory is voluntarily recalling all sterile compounded drug products within expiry to the hospital or consumer level. These drug products are being voluntarily recalled due to concerns that practices at the pharmacy have the potential to pose a risk of contamination to products that are intended to be sterile. These concerns arose following a routine inspection of the pharmacy by FDA.

Primary focus is on the analysis of genomic germline DNA. The analysis of somatic DNA and genomic biomarkers for cancer treatment is not being discussed and might be developed as an Annex or in separate guidance.
