WHAT XYLID TABLET
IS USED FOR
Xylid Tablet is an antibiotic belong to
a
group
of
medicines
called
cephalosporins.
It
is
used
to
treat
infections caused by certain bacteria,
in different parts of the body.
Xylid Tablet is used to treat infections
of:
•
Ear, nose and throat
•
Lungs or chest
•
Urinary tract
•
Skin and soft-tissue
•
Sexually transmitted diseases

HOW XYLID TABLET WORKS
Xylid Tablet works by either killing
the bacteria that cause the infections or
stopping their growth. Xylid Tablet
will not work against infection caused
by viruses such as cold or the flu
(influenza).
BEFORE YOU TAKE XYLID TABLET
_When you must not take it _
Do not take Xylid Tablet if:-
•
you are allergic (hypersensitive) to
any cephalosporin antibiotics or any
of the other ingredients of Xylid
Tablet
•
you
have
ever
had
an
allergic
(hypersensitive)
reaction
to
any
antibiotic. This can include a skin
rash, itchiness, shortness of breath,
swelling of the face, lips or tongue.
As Xylid Tablet may cause dizziness,
you must be cautious when driving or
operating a machinery.
If you are not sure, talk to your doctor
or
pharmacist
before
taking
Xylid
Tablet.
_Before you start to take it_
Tell your doctor if you have or have
had any of the following conditions
before you take Xylid Tablet:
•
hypersensitive to penicillin
•
kidney failure
•
severe gastrointestinal disease
•
pregnant or breastfeeding
_Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you
are taking or have recently taken any
other
medicines.

medicines that can be bought without
