WHAT _WORMEX _IS USED FOR
It is used for treatment of single or mixed
infestations of pinworm(threadworm),
roundworm, whipworm, hookworms and
pseudohookworm.
HOW _WORMEX _WORKS
_Wormex _contains pyrantel pamoate, which
belongs to a group of medicines called
anthelmintics that eliminates threadworm
infections. It kills the worms.
BEFORE YOU USE _WORMEX _
_- When you must not use it _
_ _ Do not take_ Wormex_ if allergic to
pyrantel pamoate or to other ingredients
in the product._ _
- Do not take during pregnancy or whilst
Breastfeeding. Ask your doctor or
pharmacist for advice before taking.
_- Before you start to use it _
Please inform doctor or pharmacist if you
have impaired liver function.
_- Taking other medicines _
Piperazine (treatment of threadworms and
roundworms) may block the anthelmintic
effects of pyrantel. Concurrent use is not
recommended. Tell your doctor if you are
taking any other medicines, including any
that you buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
HOW TO USE _WORMEX _
_- How much to use _
Adults and children over 2 years: oral,
10mg/kg of body weight with maximum
of 1gm as a single dose.
Follow all directions given by your doctor
and pharmacist carefully. They may differ
from the information contained in this
leaflet. If you do not understand the
instructions on the label, ask your doctor
or pharmacist for help.

_- When to use it _
For pinworm/threadworm infestation –
repeat in two to three weeks.
For roundworm infestation – may be
repeated in two to three weeks if required.
For hookworm infestation – the dose may
be given once a day for three days.
