Application and Equipment
_Ground application_
Walabi can be applied with all commonly used spray equipment that is
fitted with
mechanical or hydraulic agitation. Equipment should produce a fine
uniform spray
coverage of all above-ground plant (leaves, stems and fruit) surfaces.
Walabi should
be applied in a minimum water volume of 200 L/ha.
_Aerial application _
Potatoes
Walabi may be applied by aircraft for target spot control in potatoes.
Walabi is to be
applied from an aircraft that has been calibrated for the prevailing
conditions. Apply as
a FINE/MEDIUM spray as defined by ASAE S572 standard. To obtain
effective results
thorough coverage is essential. Walabi should be applied in a minimum
water volume
of 50 L/ha. Lower application volumes have not been evaluated. Refer
to PROTECTION
OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS for information regarding
downwind buffer zones.
Tomatoes
DO NOT apply Walabi to tomatoes using aerial application equipment.
IMPORTANT – Apply only to field-grown plants or to plants grown in
well-ventilated
plastic tunnel houses or glass houses. Application in enclosed areas
with poor
ventilation, and high humidity, may cause phytotoxicity.
Compatibility
Walabi is compatible with chlorothalonil formulations. Walabi is
compatible with most
commonly used insecticides and miticides.
Walabi has been shown to be physically compatible with Marlin
®
, Larvin
®
(375 and 800
WG formulations), Rogor
®
, Confidor
®
200SC, Vertimec
®
, Lorsban
®
(500 EC and 750
WG formulations), Thiovit
®
800WP, Nitofol
®
, Karate
®
and Ridomil
®
Gold.
Do not mix with products containing aluminium, copper, or products
giving an alkaline
reaction e.g. Bordeaux mixtures or lime sulphur. For further
information consult your
local reseller.
PRECAUTIONS
Re-entry Period
Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. When
prior entry is
necessary, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and
chemical resistant
gloves. Clothing must be laundered aft
