The collar contains Diazinon, an anticholinesterase compound, as the active constituent. This insecticide acts by migration to the surface of the collar and fixes onto the neck of the dog. The collar controls fleas and brown dog ticks for up to 5 months. The insecticide is not affected by water and the animal can be in the rain or take a bath, the protection will always stay effective. Fix collar loosely around the dog’s neck, cut off and dispose of excess length. Remove collar immediately should signs of skin irritation occur. PARALYSIS TICK areas - This collar does not control Paralysis Tick (_Ixodes holocyclus_). MAJOR HEALTH HAZARDS: The symptoms associated with Diazinon poisoning in humans include weakness, headaches, tightness in the chest, blurred vision, nonreactive pinpoint pupils, salivation, sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and slurred speech. Death has occurred in some instances from both dermal and oral exposures at very high levels. The LD 50 is 300 to 400mg/kg for technical grade Diazinon in rats.
