TABLET IS USED FOR
Diarrhoea particularly when
travelling in countries with
increased hygiene risks (change
of food, travel and summer
diarrhoea), development of
gases or air in the intestine, or
flatulence.
HOW ULTRACARBON N.F. TABLET
WORKS
Ultracarbon N.F. tablets contain
high- quality activated charcoal
which is
produced by
carbonization of vegetable
materials. It is highly adsorbent
due to its large surface.
Ultracarbon N.F. tablets are used
in case of diarrhoea, especially
when travelling in countries with
high hygienic risk.
Medicinal charcoal is evacuated
in a natural way together with the
adsorbed toxic agents.
BEFORE YOU USE
ULTRACARBON N.F. TABLET
When you must not use it
•
If you are hypersensitive
(allergic) to medicinal charcoal
or any of the other ingredients of
Ultracarbon N.F. tablets.
•
In case of heavy
constipation and suspected
intestinal obstruction.
Before you start use it
Pregnancy and lactation –
Ultracarbon N.F. tablets may
be taken during pregnancy and
breast-feeding.
Taking other medicines
Due to its highly adsorbent
qualities, medicinal charcoal
may reduce the effect of other
pharmaceutical products.
Ultracarbon N.F. should not be
used together with drugs which
induce vomiting, neither should
the tablets be taken together with
Preparations which contain
tannins.
In case of the oral anti-diabetic
drug chlorpropamide as well as
heart active glycosides, resorption
from the bowel is inhibited in the
order of up to 90%. Therefore, it
is recommended to take these
drugs 2 hours before taking

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION / COMPOSITION: Round black tablets.
Diameter:13.0 - 13.4 mm; thickness: 4.4 - 4.8 mm
1 tablet contains 0.250 g activated charcoal (medicated charcoal).
Auxillary ingredients: Maltodextrin, hydroxypropylcellulose, povidone,
iron oxide, magnesium stearate.
PACKAGING: 10, 30, 50, 100 and 1000 tablets in blister pack.
PHARMACEUTICAL-THERAPEUTIC CATEGORY AND ACTION: The activated charcoal
is a high-quality product composed of natural
plant material, odourless, tasteless and owing to its large surface,
it is highly adsorbent. Therefore it is capable of binding
(absorbing) and eliminating a great amount of toxic agents as well as
viruses, bacteria and toxic metabolic agents (toxins).
Ultracarbon N.F. tablets will also bind gases in the digestive system.
Medical charcoal is thus an important therapeutic for
intoxications. Medical charcoal is evacuated in a natural way together
with the absorbed toxic agents.

INDICATIONS: Diarrhoea particularly when travelling in countries with
increased hygiene risks (change of food, travel and
summer diarrhoea), development of gases or air in the intestine,
flatulence.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensivity to one of the ingredients.
PRECAUTION FOR USE: If troubles persist or are not relieved after
treatment, medical advice should be taken without delay. If
poisoning is suspected or if pain increases in the area of the stomach
and the intestine and in the case of feverish diarrhoea,
the doctor should immediately be consulted. Keep away from children.
INTERACTION: Due to its highly absorbent qualities, medical charcoal
may reduce the effectiveness of other pharmaceutical
products. Therefore any other kind of medicine should be taken at
least 1 hour before Ultracarbon N.F. tablets are taken. In
other medicines like the oral antidiabeticum Chloropropamid and heart
active Glycosides, the resorption from the bowels
