WHAT TIDACT CAPSULE
IS USED FOR
TIDACT CAPSULE is indicated for serious
bacterial
infections
caused
by
Staphylococci,
Streptococci
(except
Streptococcus faecalis), pneumococci and
anaerobic bacterial infections.
HOW TIDACT CAPSULE WORKS
Clindamycin
is
an
antibiotic
which
kills
bacterias which are susceptible to it.
BEFORE YOU USE TIDACT CAPSULE
_- When you must not use it _
Do not use TIDACT CAPSULE if you are
allergic
t
owards
Clindamycin
or
Lincomycin.
Cannot be used in newborns.
_- Before you start to use it _

for
further information.
_- Taking other medicines _
Clindamycin and Erythromycin should not
be
administered
concurrently
as
studies
have shown antagonism in vitro.
The
concurrent
use
of
kaolin-containing
anti-
diarrheal
preparations
markedly
reduces
the
rate
of
absorption
of
Clindamycin.
HOW TO USE TIDACT CAPSULE
_- How much to use _
Adults:
Serious infections: 150 to 300mg every 6
hours.
More severe infections: 300 to 450mg every
6 hours.
Children:
Serious infections: 8 to 16mg/kg/day divided
to three or four equal doses.
More severe infections: 16 to 20mg/kg/day
divided to three or four equal doses.
_- When to use it _
TIDACT
CAPSULE
should
be
taken
according to the time advised by your doctor
or pharmacist.
_- How long to use it _
Use
TIDACT
CAPSULE
as
directed
by
your doctor or pharmacist.
_- If you forget to use it _
If you miss a dose of TIDACT CAPSULE,
take
it
as
soon
as
possible.
If
it
is
approaching time for the next dose, skip the
missed dose and go back to your regular
dosing
schedule.

not
double
doses.
