ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Each bolus contains 15 g
of sulfamethazine.
INDICATIONS: For oral use as an aid in the
treatment of bacterial pneumonia, metritis,
foot-rot, diphtheria, and other conditions in
food animals, when caused by sulfamethazine
susceptible microorganisms.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
_To reduce the development of antimicrobial _
_resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this _
_antibiotic prudently and for the shortest _
_duration required to achieve the desired _
_clinical outcome_
Initial Dose: 1 bolus per 80 kg bodyweight.
Second Dose: 1 bolus per 160 kg bodyweight,
12 hours later if necessary.
CAUTION: If improvement is not apparent after
4 days treatment.
WARNINGS: Milk taken from treated cattle
during the treatment and within 96 hours after
the latest treatment must not be used in food.
Do not use in sheep or goats where milk is to
be used for human consumption. Treated
animals must not be slaughtered for use in
food for at least 10 days after the latest
treatment with this drug. Sulfonamides can
cause allergic reactions in sensitized
individuals. When handling the product, avoid
inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact
with skin or eyes. Keep out of reach of
children.
