It is for in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative determination of total antibodies to hepatitis A virus (anti-HAV) in human serum or plasma (EDTA, lithium or sodium heparinized) using the ADVIA Centaur® System. An assay for anti-HAV is indicated as an aid in the diagnosis of previous or ongoing hepatitis A viral infection, or for the detection of anti-HAV after vaccination.
