GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Bromine like chlorine, is destroyed by sunlight but unlike chlorine, cannot be stabilised to ultraviolet light and as such is only suitable for indoor pools. Before dosing the spa or pool it is recommended that: The Filtration system be properly cleaned and backwashed. Brominating tablets may be used in various automatic feed dispensers (Brominators) or places in a refillable plastic dispenser for use in the skimmer box or as a floater. pH should be tested daily using fresh testing reagents. If it falls below the required level, add Dry Alkali, and if it rises above add Dry Acid. Bromine levels should be tested daily by use of a reliable test kit using fresh testing reagents. Dosage rates indicated are only a guide as the rate of dissolving is affected by water temperature, flow rate, bather load and other environmental conditions.
