These erode and dissolve, thus providing a supply of trace elements to the animal for up to 6 months, with the greatest release over the first 4 months following administration. Net Contents: 10 x 130 g Boluses Directions for Use: Restraints: Contraindications: SHOULD NOT BE ADMINISTERED TO CATTLE LESS THAN 5 MONTHS OF AGE. This product is contraindicated for use unless cobalt deficiency is confirmed. This product is contraindicated for use when selenium intake from pasture is high or selenium is provided by other means (such as top dressing, vaccine, pellets or selenium drenches), if blood selenium levels at treatment are high. Users can determine selenium status by consulting their veterinarian. DO NOT administer additional iodine, cobalt or selenium for at least 6 months following treatment, unless under veterinary advice. RLP APPROVED Precautions: Minerals such as copper, cobalt, selenium, iron, manganese and molybdenum compete with each other for metabolically important processes in the animal. FOR OVINE USE ONLY LOAD APPLICATOR 3 Insert the bolus into the head of the applicator. 3 Hold the applicator by its handle and squeeze with even pressure to depress the plunger. POSITION THE APPLICATOR 3 Gently insert the applicator into the mouth and guide over the back of the tongue. 3 Keep the applicator straight with the handle in front of the nose. 3 Keep the head up and neck straight. 7 DO NOT use severe restraint such as gripping the throat or holding the head too high. This interferes with swallowing. RELEASE THE BOLUS 3 As the animal begins to swallow, gently eject the bolus. 7 DO NOT push the applicator too far into the throat. 7 DO NOT use force as you may damage the lamb’s throat. 7 The bolus cannot be swallowed if the head is pointing down.
