GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Proguard Plus may delay emergence of wheat. Crops will recover
rapidly in most soils without any effect on yield. Sowing Proguard
Plus
treated wheat deeper than 50 mm may reduced plant establishment in
heavier soils or soils that will crust or clod at the surface after
sowing.
Sowing rates may need to be adjusted accordingly.
INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING
For insecticide resistance management, Proguard Plus is a Group
4A insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant
to Proguard Plus and other Group 4A insecticides may exist through
normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant
individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Proguard
Plus and other Group 4A insecticides are used repeatedly. The
effectiveness of Proguard Plus on resistant individuals could be
significantly reduced. Since occurrence of resistant individuals is
difficult to detect prior to use, Chemtura Australia Pty Ltd accepts
no
liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Proguard
Plus
to control resistant insects. Proguard Plus may be subject to specific
resistance management strategies. For further information contact
your local supplier, Chemtura Australia Pty Ltd representative or
local
agricultural department agronomist.
