Indicated for local treatment of moderate to highly exuding wounds, particularly for sloughy and granulated wounds: postsurgical wounds (amputation stumps, cavity wounds), chronic wounds (pressure ulcers, leg ulcers). Urgosorb can be used on wounds showing clinical signs of infection, provided that suitable medical supervision is ensured. Through platelet activation, Urgosorb is a dressing which promotes primary hemostasis of acute and chronic wounds with hemorrhaging.
