WHAT DECOZOL CREAM IS
USED FOR?
DECOZOL
CREAM
is
indicated
for
the
treatment
of
fungal
infections on the skin or nails by
fungi
including
dermatophytes,
yeasts
and
some
bacteria.
These
include
Tinea
pedis
(Athlete’s
Foot), Tinea cruris, Tinea corporis

cutaneous candidiasis (skin fungal
infections
caused
by
yeasts)
and
Tinea versicolor (body whitespots).
HOW DECOZOL CREAM WORKS?
This medicine contains Miconazole
Nitrate
which
has
fungistatic
activity against a number of fungi
causing systemic mycoses.
Miconazole
Nitrate,
an
imidazole
antifungal
agent,
works
by
interfering with ergosterol synthesis
and thereby alters the permeability
of the cell membrane of sensitive
fungi.
