SUMMARY OF PRODCT CHARACTERISTICS

NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT 
Aspirin C

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION 
Each tablet contains: 400 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 240 mg
of ascorbic acid

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM 
Effervescent tablet

CLINICAL PARTICULARS 

4.1 
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS 

For  the  symptomatic  relief  of  headache, toothache,  sore throat,  period  pain,  muscular 
and joint pain, back pain, minor arthritis pain.  
In common cold or influenza for the symptomatic relief of pain
and fever.  

ADULTS:  
1 - 2 effervescent tablets as single dose, to
be repeated at intervals of 4-8 h. A 
maximum daily dose of 10
effervescent tablets must not be exceeded.

POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION 

For oral use. The effervescent tablets are to be dissolved in a glass of water before 
taking.  

4.3 
CONTRAINDICATIONS 

Active peptic ulcers; 
Haemorrhagic diathesis; 
Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, to
other salicylates, or to any other components of 
the product; 
A  history  of  asthma  induced  by  the  administration  of  salicylates  or  substances  with  a 
similar action, notably non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;

Combination  with  methotrexate  at  doses  of  15 mg/week  or  more  (see  interactions  with 
other medicinal products and other forms of interaction) 
Last trimester of pregnancy.

SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE  

Concomitant treatment with anticoagulants;  
History of gastro-intestinal ulcers including chronic or recurrent ulcer disease or history 
of gastro-intestinal bleedings;  
Impaired renal function;  
Impaired hepatic function;  
Hypersensitivity to anti-inflammatory or antirheumatic drugs
or other allergens.
