Statements:
Each mL contains SULFADOXINE 200 mg TRIMETHOPRIM 40 mg
Claims:
For the treatment and control of bacterial infections susceptible to a
sulfadoxine/
trimethoprim combination in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and
horses.
For the treatment of a wide range of diseases including respiratory,
alimentary, urogenital
and general infections caused by bacteria sensitive to
sulfadoxine/trimethoprim therapy in
cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and horses.
Tridox 240mg/mL Antibacterial Solution for Injection is active against
gram positive
and gram negative bacteria, for example Streptococcus spp,
Staphylococcus spp,
Salmonella spp, Pasteurella spp, Pneumococcus spp. E. coli, Brucella
spp, Proteus spp,
Corynebacterium spp, Klebsiella spp and Campylobacter spp.
Resistance may develop to any antibiotic.

Restraints:
DO NOT USE in female sheep or goats which are producing or may in the
future produce
milk that may be used or processed for human consumption.
Contraindications:
Not recommended for cats and kittens.
Precautions:
Intravenous injection should be administered as slowly as reasonably
practicable to avoid
possible shock. RLP APPROVED

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Use the contents of the vial within 28 days of initial broaching and
discard any unused
portion.
Dosage: 3 ml per 50 kg bodyweight in all species, which is equivalent
to 15 mg active
ingredients per kg bodyweight. A single injection may be sufficient
but in more severe
infections the dose should be repeated at 24 hour intervals until the
clinical signs have
resolved.
Administration:
Cattle, Sheep, Goats: By intramuscular, subcutaneous or intravenous
injection.
