DIRECTIONS FOR USE
ADMINISTRATION:
Wearing
protective
gloves,
load
the
applicator
with
a
sponge.
Insert
the
applicator into the ewe’s vagina and push gently in as far as it
will go. Push the
sponge out of the applicator with the plunger. Remove the plunger and
the
applicator together, leaving the tie strings protruding (Refer to the
diagrams on
back of the carton). Thoroughly disinfect the applicator before each
insertion.
Remove sponges after 12-16 days. Remove any retained sponges with the
index
finger. If this fails, consult your veterinarian to remove retained
sponges.
The majority of ewes will come into heat 36-48 hours post sponge
removal.
Perform artificial insemination of the ewe 56 hours post sponge
removal (not less
than 48 hours and not more that 60 hours after sponge removal).
Administer PMSG (Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotrophin) when sponges are
removed to increase ovulation rates and improve synchronisation of
oestrus.
