4.2 INDICATIONS FOR USE, SPECIFYING THE TARGET SPECIES
Osmonds Flexiben SC is a broad spectrum multi-purpose anthelmintic for the control of mature and developing immature
forms of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, tapeworms, and adult liver fluke in cattle and sheep. The product is
also ovicidal against fluke and roundworms eggs.
In CATTLE it is active against the following species:
Roundworms:
_Ostertagia_
_Haemonchus_
_Trichostrongylus_
_Nematodirus_
_Oesophagostomum_
_Bunostomum_
_Cooperia _and _Strongyloides _spp.
It is usually effective against inhibited larvae of _Cooperia _and _Ostertagia_.
Lungworms:
_Dictyocaulus viviparus_
Tapeworms:
_Moniezia _spp.
Adult liver fluke:
_Fasciola hepatica_
In SHEEP it is active against benzimidazole susceptible strains of the following species:
Roundworms:
_Ostertagia_
_Haemonchus_
_Trichostrongylus_
_Nematodirus _(including _N. battus_)
_Chabertia _and _Oesophagostomum_
It is usually effective against inhibited larvae of Ostertagia.
Lungworms:
