NOBILIS REO 1133 1000 ds – Leaflet, Carton, Label and Diluent Label A005812 Page 1 of 10 NOBILIS REO 1133 09 Feb 2024 Local Leaflet (supplied to NZ market) FOR ANIMAL TREATMENT ONLY NOBILIS ® REO 1133 COMPOSITION Nobilis Reo 1133 is a mild freeze-dried vaccine. Each dose contains at least 3.1 log 10 TCID 50 , of Reo virus, strain 1133 grown on SPF chicken embryo fibroblasts. The vaccine pellet contains stabilizers and traces of antibiotics. It is packed in two separate units. One containing the vaccine vials and the other contains the bottle with sterile diluent (Diluent Poultry Freeze-Dried). INDICATIONS The vaccine is intended for the prevention of Tenosynovitis (Viral arthritis) in chickens of five days or older. It is also intended for priming of breeder replacement stock. ADMINISTRATION BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE DUE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN NECESSARY, TO AVOID UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS DIRECTED ON THE LABEL. Inject 0.2 mL of reconstituted vaccine subcutaneously into the back of the neck. PREPARATION OF VACCINE 1. The Diluent Poultry Freeze Dried is recommended for the reconstitution of this vaccine. Use 200 mL diluent for 1000 doses of vaccine. 2. Vaccination equipment should be sterile and free from traces of disinfectant or spirit. 3. Add some diluent into the vial of vaccine and shake. 4. Withdraw the rehydrated vaccine into the syringe and add to the rest of the diluent. Gently shake to mix. Withdraw a portion of the diluent with the syringe to flush vial. Inject the liquid back into the diluent bottle. 5. Remove the syringe. 6. Fill the previously sterilized automatic syringe according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and set the dose for 0.2 mL. 7. The vaccine is now ready for use. VACCINATION PROGRAMME Many factors must be considered in determining a sound vaccination programme for a particular farm.
