CEFOVECIN 80 mg/mL (as sodium salt)
CLAIMS:
Antibiotic injection for the treatment of bacterial skin, and urinary
tract infections sensitive
to cefovecin in dogs and cats and for the treatment of severe
infections of gingival and
periodontal tissues associated with Porphyromonas spp. and Prevotella
spp in dogs.
Convenia (cefovecin) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial
infections sensitive to
cefovecin in dogs and cats with the following conditions:
DOGS:
Skin infections including bacterial folliculitis, wounds, and
abscesses caused by susceptible
strains of Staphylococcus intermedius, Streptococcus canis (Group G,

haemolytic),
Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis.
Urinary tract infections (cystitis) associated with susceptible
strains of Escherichia coli,
Proteus mirabilis and Staphylococcus intermedius.
As adjunctive treatment to mechanical or surgical periodontal therapy
in the treatment of
severe infections of gingival and periodontal tissues associated with
Porphyromonas
spp.and Prevotella spp.
CATS
Skin infections including abscesses and wounds caused by susceptible
strains
of Pasteurella multocida, Streptococcus canis (Group G, beta
haemolytic), and
Staphylococcus intermedius.
Urinary tract infections associated with susceptible strains of
Escherichia coli.
NET CONTENTS:
10mL when reconstituted.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Reconstituted product: Store refrigerated in original carton and use
