EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine blocks receptors of neurotransmitters (mainly dopamine)
in brain, thereby
stabilizing mental status such as hallucinations, delusion,
integration disorder of concept,
manic states, serious anxiety and nervousness, in addition, it has the
effect of improving
nausea and vomiting.
It is usually used in the treatment of anxiety/nervousness/depression
due to schizophrenia,
mania and neurosis, and to treat nausea/vomiting, hiccups and
convulsions associated with
tetanus. It is also used for anesthetic premedication, and to enhance
the efficacy of
hypnotic/sedative/analgesic medicines.
