shallow
biconvex

film-coated
tablet
with
plain on both sides; diameter: 10.33mm.
CONTENT:
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Calcium Lactate Pentahydrate 300mg providing Calcium 40mg.
INDICATION:
As a health supplement.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
To be taken with food.
Adults : 5 tablets 3 times daily or as directed by pharmacist or
doctor.
CONTRAINDICATION:
Unknown.

SIDE EFFECTS:

and constipation. Excessive
amounts
may
lead
to
hypercalcaemia.

This

be reversible

Elevated serum-calcium concentrations can produce bradycardia
and cardiac arrythmias. Calcium enhances the effects of digitalis
glycosides on the heart and may precipitate digitals intoxication.
SYMPTOMS & TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE:
Overdose
may
lead
to
hypercalcemia;
symptoms
include
anorexia,
lassitude,
muscle
and
joints
pains,
nausea
and
vomiting,
thrist
and
polyuria.
Initial management of hypercalcaemia should include rehydration by
either oral or intravenous route. Intravenous rehydration may be
given with or followed by, frusemide or other loop di
