Claims:
Topical parasiticide for cats (2.6 – 7.5 kg body weight).
This product contains SELAMECTIN, a semi-synthetic compound of the
macrocyclic
lactone class.
INDICATIONS:
• Kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), flea eggs and flea
larvae in the environment
• Treats, controls and prevents flea infestations in cats
• Controls flea allergy dermatitis in cats
• Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis in cats
• Treats and controls ear mites (Otodectes cynotis) in cats.
• Treats and controls intestinal hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme)
and roundworms
(Toxocara cati) in cats.
• Treats biting lice (Felicola subrostratus) in cats
Waterproof after 2 hours in cats.
EFFICACY: Adult fleas are killed for one month following
administration of TOTALCARE
according to the recommended dosing schedule. In addition, flea eggs
exposed to
this TOTALCARE dosing schedule are not viable and flea reproduction is
stopped.
Clinical signs of flea allergy dermatitis improve after treatment.
Monthly administration of
TOTALCARE prevents heartworm disease caused by D. immitis. Ear mites
(O. cynotis) in
cats are eliminated after a single dose of TOTALCARE. The common
intestinal hookworm
(A. tubaeforme) and the common roundworm (T. cati) in cats, are killed
by a single
dose of TOTALCARE and are controlled by monthly dosing. Biting lice in
cats (Felicola
subrostratus) are eliminated after a single dose.
