QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION ACTIVE SUBSTANCE: Oxfendazole 9.06 % w/v EXCIPIENTS: Sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.8 % w/v Sodium metabisulphite 0.15% w/v For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1. 3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Oral suspension A white to off-white suspension 4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS 4.1 TARGET SPECIES Cattle Sheep 4.2 INDICATIONS FOR USE, SPECIFYING THE TARGET SPECIES A broad spectrum anthelmintic for the control of mature and developing immature gastrointestinal roundworms and lungworms and also tapeworms in cattle and sheep. Parafend LV is ovicidal for strongyle eggs. For the treatment of cattle infested with the following species: GASTROINTESTINAL ROUNDWORMS: _Ostertagia _spp, _Haemonchus_ spp, _Nematodirus_ spp, _Trichostrongylus_ spp, _Cooperia_ spp, _Oesophagostomum_ spp, _Chabertia_ spp, _Capillaria _ spp and _Trichuris_ spp. LUNGWORMS: _Dictyocaulus_ spp. TAPEWORMS: _Moniezia _spp. Revised: 09 June 2010 AN: 00201/2010 Page 2 of 6 For the treatment of sheep infested with benzimidazole susceptible strains of the following species: GASTROINTESTINAL ROUNDWORMS: _Ostertagia_ spp, _Haemonchus_ spp, _Nematodirus_ spp, _Trichostrongylus _ spp, _Cooperia_ spp, _Oesophagostomum_ spp and _Chabertia_ spp. Also provides useful control of _Trichuris_ spp. LUNGWORMS: _Dictyocaulu_s spp. TAPEWORMS: _Moniezia_ spp. In cattle it is also effective against inhibited larvae of _Cooperia_ spp, and usually effective against inhibited/arrested larvae of _Ostertagia_ spp. In sheep it is effective against inhibited/arrested larvae of _Nematodirus_ spp, and benzimidazole susceptible _Haemonchus _spp and _Ostertagia_ spp. 4.3 CONTRAINDICATIONS None 4.4 SPECIAL WARNINGS FOR EACH TARGET SPECIES Care should be taken to avoid the following practices because they increase the risk of development of resistance and could ultimately result in ine Belgenin tamamını okuyun
