INDICATIONS:
Effective for the treatment and control of mixed infections of
ivermectin sensitive gastrointestinal
roundworms,
including
benzimidazole,
levamisole
and
morantel
resistant
strains
of
_Haemonchus contortus_, _Ostertagia circumcincta_ and
_Trichostrongylus colubriformis_. Effective
against lungworm (_Dictyocaulus filaria_), itchmite (_Psorergates
ovis_) and all parasitic larval stages
of nasal bot (_Oestrus ovis_). Provides a selenium supplement for
sheep raised in selenium
deficient areas.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
IVOMEC Liquid with Selenium is administered orally using any standard
drenching equipment or
any equipment which provides a consistent dose volume. Dose and
equipment should be
checked before drenching commences.
Use the following dosage schedule. Give at the rate of 2.5 mL per 10
kg.
Under 11 kg and over 80 kg give at a rate of 2.5 mL per 10 kg.
A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment.
Dose the mob according
to the heaviest animal by liveweight in each group (ewes, rams,
lambs). Do not under dose.
Where there is a large variation in size within the group, dose rate
should be based on the label
directions for each weight range. Drafting into two or more lines may
be appropriate, to avoid
excessive overdosing.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS:
MEAT: DO NOT USE LESS THAN 10 DAYS BEFORE SLAUGHTER FOR HUMAN
CONSUMPTION.
MILK: DO NOT USE IN LACTATING DAIRY EWES OR WITHIN 28 DAYS OF LAMBING
WHERE THEIR MILK OR
MILK BYPRODUCTS ARE TO BE USED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

INHALATION:
Not a likely route of entry as the product is liquid.
SKIN CONTACT:
May be mildly irritating on prolonged or frequent contact.
EYE CONTACT:
May be mildly irritating.
INGESTION:
Harmful in large dose. May cause dilated pupils (mydriasis), in-
coordination, drowsiness, slow breathing, nausea, vomiting,
tachycardia,
somnolence, tremors and blood pressure variations. No toxic effects
reported in humans up to 2000µ/kg bw. Ivermectin can be excreted in
milk.
CHRONIC EFFECTS:
Not sensitising. At doses toxic to the mother, PURE IVERMECTIN is a
reproductive toxin in mice and rats, however, in rabbits, ivermectin
is
foetotoxic at doses not toxic to the mother. Rats expose
