The Digimap USB interface is used to allow fittings of BTE processor. The clinician communicates with the patient through the interface and the help of Digimap software. Programming the processor is intended to determine hearing level and comfort level; Assign frequency band for speech understanding and identification of environmental sounds; Optimize volume, sensitivity etc. The Digimap USB interface and software allow the transfer and saving of the fitting parameters into the BTE processor. The Digimap USB programming interface is a non-implantable component of the Neuro Cochlear Implant System. DIGIMAP USB transmits the required settings to the behind-the-ear processor of the patient's CIS so that the patient can obtain an optimal electrical stimulation from the cochlea. It is used for programming and configuring and communicates directly with the cochlear implant by using Digimap software. The software sends the required settings to the processors through the Digimap USB interface.
