Το janumet ενδείκνυται ως θεραπεία τριπλού συνδυασμού μαζί με μια ppar αγωνιστή (i. μια θειαζολιδινεδιόνη) ως επιπρόσθετο στη δίαιτα και την άσκηση σε ασθενείς που δεν ελέγχονται επαρκώς με μέγιστη ανεκτή για αυτούς δόση μετφορμίνης και ppar αγωνιστή. Το janumet είναι επίσης αναφέρεται ως προσθήκη σε ινσουλίνη (i. θεραπεία τριπλού συνδυασμού) ως επιπρόσθετο στη δίαιτα και την άσκηση για τη βελτίωση του γλυκαιμικού ελέγχου σε ασθενείς όταν σταθερή δοσολογία της ινσουλίνης και μετφορμίνη μόνο δεν παρέχουν επαρκή γλυκαιμικό έλεγχο.
