Alloplastic bone implant composed of beta tricalcium phosphate granules of synthetic origin with a size ranging from 500 micrometres to 1 mm. The size of macropores varies from 100 micrometres to 400 micrometres and micropores are less than 10 micrometres in diameter. The microcavities, when impregnated with the blood of the patient, promote in-depth colonization of the substitute material by osteogenic cells. R.T.R. is gradually resorbable. For use in dental surgery and dental implant surgery to provide a scaffold for the replacement of bone losses and where bone grafting is indicated for eg. filling of post extraction sockets, treatment of periodontal intrabony defects, treatment of peri implant defects and treatment of defects following endodontic surgery.
