ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Contains 34g/litre pindone as the sodium
salt in the form of a soluble concentrate
TOXICITY
Toxic if swallowed. Causes serious eye irritation. May adversely
affect blood clotting ability through prolonged
or repeated exposure.
PRECAUTIONS:
OPERATOR SAFETY:
Avoid contact with the skin, or inhalation of vapours or mist. Wear
cotton overalls, rubber gloves and rubber
boots when diluting the concentrate, applying field solution to bait
or handling baits. Wash hands and exposed
skin prior to eating, drinking or smoking. Eye protection should be
worn to prevent splashes into eyes when
using concentrate to prepare baits. Get medical advice if you feel
unwell.
ECOTOXICITY
Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Toxic to terrestrial
vertebrates. DO NOT contaminate any water
supply with chemicals or empty container. Empty containers should be
thoroughly rinsed and the residue
added to the working solution.
AREAS OF NON-TARGET SENSITIVITY:
Methods of aerial or ground application must be site specific with
full consideration given to all non-target
species at risk from both primary or secondary poisoning.
Consideration must always be given to the timing of the operations so
as to avoid periods of increased feeding
activity. Where bait application is made to areas subject to the
control of the Department of Conservation, all
conditions imposed by that Department must be complied with.
Ensure that all bait is dyed green in accordance with the standards
outlined in HSNO Regulations.
